Cefixime

Belongs to a class of antibiotics called cephalosporin.

Used in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria.

It is prescribed to treat the following bacterial infections in adults and children:

Respiratory system diseases: Acute and chronic inflammations, Bacterial pneumonia.

Ear, nose and throat diseases: otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis, sore throat.

– Urinary tract infection: inflammation of the kidney, bladder and inflammation of the prostate.

– Obstetrics and gynecology .

– Skin diseases and soft tissues.

– Cases of gonorrhea and syphilis (for patients with penicillin sensitivity).
